More About Me
Location: Stourbridge, Birmingham, West Midlands, England
Occupation: Mother, clerk, student, EFT practitioner
My Philosophy On Life: Life is a journey with many bends and hurdles, some very painful and challenging, requiring much courage. And there is so much amazing to experience. I'm learning to be grateful and to continually look for and marvel at the Light and wonders of beauty and love. We are all potential healers. As we realise this, the world becomes a better place.
'Improve your perception of yourself; you're totally allowed to lift yourself out of your glum, observe your own true, unique and wonderful being, acknowledging also your imperfections in the knowing that contrast fascilitates seeing and insight, and your tasks will feel so much lighter and your future so much brighter.'
My Interests: My husband, children, friends, spiritual pursuits, psychic, angels, drama, healing, music, nature, writing (I write poetry), reading, learning, laughing, EFT, NLP, Reiki, The Reconnection, Quantum Touch healing.. oh, and so much more... you never know what's around the next corner....
My Inspirations: Family, my children's sense of humour, friends and their sense of humour + life experiences, Deepak Chopra, Eric Pearl (The Reconnection), Richard Gordon (Quantum Touch), Paul McKenna, David Icke, and people who seek truth and understanding and are happy to share their knowledge and help others reach a level of development that they are at. Oh, I inspire me, actually!
Music I Love: Pop, rock, classical, light music, music to dance to, sing to.... be to...
Movies I Love: Ghost, A Beautiful Mind, Mary Poppins..., and to stay with Julie Andrews: Sound of Music, Patch Adams. Recently a friend of mine and I went to watch Mamma Mia in the cinema. Well, how colourful and moving in many ways, I think. Truly enjoyed it. Didn't think I would, though I've always had a soft spot for Abba's music (well, I'm Danish, aren't I - and they are neighbours in a manner of speaking). I don't get to see many all the way through these days on tele. But several have touched my mind and heart along the way.
TV Shows I Love: Eh...., music, nature, humour, history, travel...oh, and partly because my Downs lad watches them 'all the time': Friends. And good plays such as 'The Importance of Being Earnest'. Father Ted, The Vicar of Dibly. Actually, I don't watch that much TV. Too busy with life, really. But there are the odd interesting programmes, fun or just watchable. I prefer not to watch the news too much or political programmes. I don't trust we're always told the truth. And that's too depressing, I feel.
Books I Love: All Deepak Chopra, The Reconnection (Eric Pearl), Quantum Touch Healing (Richard Gordon), Embraced by the Light, Expecting Adam, Encounters with Angels, The Centre Cannot Hold, books on Meditation, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Momo, The Never Ending Story, The Chronicles of Narnia - and many other magical 'children's' stories, spiritual, biographical books, humour, healing... 'Feel the fear..and do it anyway', by Susan Jeffers (how helpful, why didn't I read it a long time ago?). My bookshelves are heaving with books I'm longing to read....
Places I Love: Nature, empty churches, the company of special people..., Denmark, Britain, oh many places. Where there's magic I'm happy. Sometimes lying in bed on a Sunday morning waking up with an insight to birdsong and a stressless schedule, smelling coffee (though I don't drink much of that), toast... love.... hope...
Quotes I Love: Namaste: I honour the divine in you that I honour within myself and I know we are one.
Good has no fear - Good is itself whatever comes
It grows and makes, and bravely persuades
beyond all tilt of wrong.
Stronger than anger - Wiser than strategy
Enough to subdue cities and men
If we believe it
with a long courage of Truth! Christopher Fry
Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always infectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation) there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.
Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Goethe
'By all means smell the shit, but know that there are roses, too, closer than you think - you just need to sniff them out, become conscious of them. You need not be afraid of the thorns, for they are the gift of wisdom; the flowers are a manifestation of joy and beauty, of possibility. Together they can become an orchestra of fulfilment and an inspiration to even the greyest souls.' Written by me recently in defense of all the negativity my eldest son sends our way.
Nothing is never nothing. If nothing were nothing, then nothing ever was.....
