About MeI like to think that my business, Ashwhin, is the outward expression of me - and the name (that is unique) says something about who I am becoming. The Ash is emblematic of woman - combining the stengths and nature of the three aspcts of female - youth, mother and crone; and the Whin (gorse/furze) is emblematic of that love energy that binds the universe. This at least describes to me I intend to be growing into. A simpler thought is one I wrote decades ago - at graduation from high school describing where I'd be in 20 years- "Still trucking on with a song in my heart and a smile in my eyes"

More About MeLocation: Dunbeg by Oban, Argyll and Bute, Scotland Occupation: Catalyst for Change, Therapist & Trainer My Philosophy On Life: To every day be a bit more joyful, more chilled, and to just be - aware that my roots reach into the heart of Gaia and allow me to be strong and resilient - aware that chi flows and touches us all, every thing and place to the edge of the universe and beyond. We are connected, and size doesn't matter.
We DO make a difference, so I recommend (and live by this myself) to find your path, follow it well and enjoy. My Interests: In no particular order:- Music, dancing, sailing, beach combing, playing with my furkids, drawing, writing, painting, gardening, exploring the inner, outer world, reading, healing, talking with friends, fringe theatre & film, learning, teaching and enabling, investigating Scotland, making things, parties with friends, meeting people.... My Inspirations: I find inspiration in most everyone and most everything - a long time ago (and in rebellion against the negativity of my mum's "born again" religion), I joined the Quakers and enjoyed going to their meetings for a while. The best thing I learned is to live life my looking for the godliness or goodliness in every person you meet. They are so right! Music I Love: Jazz and blues, folk rock and 'protest' songs, folk and traditional music, classics, most everything sometimes Movies I Love: I love Scifi that makes you think, and action and light comedies for escape. As a product of film school, I have a pretty quirky taste, and love all sorts of more unusual films too. TV Shows I Love: Oldies like Star Trek especially TNG, newer escape like CSI and Silent Witness., Documentaries on nature, travel - especially with Billie Connelly, and Michael Palin. Most of the history and science ones give me a pain because they make so many stupid assumptions, but I often watch them in the hope of a few new crumbs of knowledge. And sometimes I am richly rewarded. Books I Love: Most of my beloved books fall into one of two categories - escape or learning, inspirational. I love Scifi that makes you think like Le Guin, Tepper, Octavia Butler, May, ... and I love the Sci-fantasy of MacCaffey., Inspirational includes everything from Maya Angelou to Psychosynthesis... and learning ia permanent condition, -) Places I Love: Scotland!!!, actually I love so many places especially those near the sea, near ancient stoneworks, amazing gardens and wild places, I even love some cities like London, Florence and Chicago - but my soul belongs in Scotland Quotes I Love: I love my fear - it is the beacon that says "here I must go"
