Liz is greatly inspired by nature, colour and form. Her work is full of enthusiasm, laughter, love and strength.
An International Contemporary Painter, Liz captures her subjects in a world with an abstract slant. She exposes her unseen world into a visible format using colour, texture and form as a language tool to convey her thoughts, emotions, feelings and imaginations on to the canvas.
In this new ‘Soul People Series’ Liz has captured our unseen magical world of spirit. The circle is very significant. It represents a myriad of things. It is an ideogram of the one, the wholly good towards which the human spirit aspires. It is about totality and eternal continuity, union as well as containment and wholeness. There are no divisions. They are the union of Earth and Heaven – celestial spheres. These souls use their tails for movement, which also correlates them to sperm, the giver of life. Within these works of Art everyday experiences of life are explored. Each piece holds a unique richness about them within their depth and textured relief work.
Liz did a Foundation Course and studied photography at the West Surrey College of Art and Design in the late 1980’s. She has been selling her work internationally since 1998. She has been running performance workshops for young people throughout Somerset and Devon as well as running painting, sculpture and pottery evening classes locally.
