About Me
My background is quite diverse from theatre stage management, teaching adults with learning difficulties to gym instruction with the World Amateur Body Building Association. I've also studied law, the arts and psychology. I've lived in France and various parts of the UK. I've also been head hunted to open a sports gym, but decided to open my own clinic instead. This has been a great success and people come to me from all over the UK as well as Europe and Australia for treatment.
I'm now settled down in Worcestershire right by the Malvern Hills and am lucky enough to work from home. Home also consists of my partner Greg and a thoroughly spoilt cat. I enjoy my food be it buying it, cooking it or eating it and currently we're working our way round Worcestershire, feasting at all the local hostelries to sample their ware - a hard way to spend an evening, but all in the name of research.
Time is also spent walking the Malvern Hills or in Wales, and on a good day the Black Mountains can be seen from Malvern. When we can we get down to Cornwall too. There is a continuous debate of which coastline is more enjoyable - the north or south?
The north coast with its surfing waves, big beaches and the raw and ruggedness of the cliffs is stunning and engulfs all the senses. The south with its fishing villages and tranquil seascapes is beautiful and offers a wonderful sense of calm.
Do you have a preference?
My great aunt still lives in north Cornwall in the house that my great, great, great grandparents bought. My grandma (my great aunt's sister) lived on the south coast, so both are very special.
I enjoy gardening and hope next year to be planting my first propagations. The garden is full of wild life including hedgehogs and frogs as well as the inevitable squirrels. I actively go out of my way to feed the birds and am rewarded by a continuous visitation of many different kinds. I also get a great kick out of singing. What enjoyment this gives to others I should think is rather limited at the present moment in time as I've just started having lessons, but it's such fun especially as the teacher - Dr. Ria Keen - specialises in rock, jazz, blues, musicals etc. Just Fab. I also enjoy live music as well as sitting down with a glass of something, a good book - usually a thriller - and some music on in the background.
