Last Summer we stayed with some friends in Gozo. They told us about this sort of game where virtually everything someone says, you can reply, 'who cares?' and it fits in with almost anything. Well, I learnt pretty quickly, and for the next few days my vocabulary was limited to 'who cares?' (appropriately, of course!) So carried away was I that when their family and ours were at a restaurant, (about 12 of us), my friend's niece got up from the table, leading the way for our children to go clubbing. She said, 'we'll probably be back quite late.' I turned round and said, 'who cares?' She looked at me absolutely dumbfounded, like she thought, 'God, you've changed!' I couldn't forget the shock on her face and how she stared at me, but I thought she knew all about this game. I mentioned it to my friend a couple of weeks later, and sure enough, my friend did have to explain afterwards all about 'who cares.' Well, it's not too bad a game really, because you can apply it to an awful lot of things in everyday life when you think about it. Those little things that can get on top of you.......you can just say to yourself, 'who cares?' and get on with something else. Ann xx
