It never fails to surprise me how many people ask me what is homeopathy? I have had some believe it is a massage therepy or using herbal remedies. Whilst i have understood the herbal connection I cannot see massage. I have nothing against either of these practices you understand.
Homeopathy was invented by a German Physician Samual Hahnnaman over some 200 years ago. Some of the books written on this subject are just as useful today as they were years ago. However we as Humans live in a polluted environment and are besiged by contaminents in our food chain and daily lives.
How can homeopathy help me you may ask? well on a daily basis there are many remedies for First aid situations. Remedies to stop bleeding, pain, spasms etc. Were you to seek treatment for physical ailments such as skin problems or migraines you would find part of the treatment is based on treating your mental and emotional symtoms also. I think of homeopathy as a energy medicine which encompasses treatment of the mind body and spirit. A homeopath has access to approximatly 3000 remedies which can be used to treat almost all imaginable problems. Treatment can be like an artist painting a picture whereby after the basic consultation process which takes over 1 hour the homeopath has to match remedies to the patient as the artist will match colour.
In modern homeopathy we use colour remedies to treat patients, it maybe due to a corresponding problems in a particular chakra. These are somtimes combined with the older remedies. But as you can see it is very versitile and is able to be used right through a pregnancy up to assisting with the labour.
If patients have been unwell for some time it is a gentle method to regain energy lost over a long time.
