Hello one and all, Thanks for joining us on the new Holistic Local forums! This latest addition to our site is the first of a planned series of updates that will shift the focus of the site from merely serving static content to allowing interactive discussion between our members. Hopefully by now you've read Andy's introduction that gives a brief overview of the story so far behind the creation of Holistic Local. My role is mostly of a technical nature, although I also offer input into the direction and focus of the site. Every line of code that went into making the Holistic Local web site, including these forums, was written by me, so if anything ever breaks or doesn't work as it should then you know who to blame! If you do experience a problem, and would like to tell me about it, I can be contacted at jason@holisticlocal.com. So, business talk aside, a little about me. I'm 31 years old (born 21st August, and mostly a typical Leo!) I currently live in a small village to the west of Bradford, England about a twenty minute drive away from Andy. And like him, I'm currently single, have never been married or had kids, but I do have a nephew - and a niece on the way! - thanks to my sister, Kirsty. My educational background is in electronics and telecommunications engineering, but around the same time I left college I'd already started building my own websites and learning how the Internet works. I'm proud to say that everything I've learned about computers and programming has been self-taught. I've worked for a variety of companies, including BP Amoco, Microsoft and Toyota, as well as several smaller software development companies. With Holistic Local, I'm finally pursuing my dream of working for myself. Although a technical person, I share Andy's deep interest in matters spiritual, which is the reason that we're here today. Andy's skills in internet marketing, alongside his existing familiarity with the alternative health industry, complements my technical skills to bring his vision for Holistic Local into reality. We've been working on this site since around February of this year (2005), still have many more ideas for new features and enhancements, and have been encouraged by all of the very positive feedback that we've had so far. I'll leave it there for now! I look forward to seeing you around on these new forums, and hopefully getting to know some of you a lot better Last edited: 29-06-2006 05:12:29 PM
