I found this today. Might be good to help persuade people to eat more organic foods.

Thanks Katherine, interesting info. It appears that most commercial gardens are depleted of nutrients. I have a client who is an organic soil modifier, can you believe it. What he does is produce all the nutrients and combines it with whatever, the iys sold and put over the ground. dairy farmers are thrilled, and some small commercial farmers as well. We used it on our small vegy garden, and we found our veges really great and improved on last year.
John, the salt must stand in water for 24 hours to fully absorb, if there is still salt in the bottom after 24 hours, then you have saturation. Good luck.

Thank you for sharing K!

P.S. What's this business about salt crystals? Someone gave me a 'solid salt cystal' (kinda pink looking) from Mount Shasta a couple of years ago, and I didn't know what do do with it. The guy who kindly gave it to me said something about water and drinking daily??? Any more insight would be appreciated.... or perhaps a pointer to the thread where they were mentioned?

Kind Wishes...

Trinty, I use crystal salt for minerals. You take the crystals, put them in water for 24 hours, if there is salt left after 24 hours, then the water is saturated with the salt, which means all the minerals. I drink about 10ml per day, usually instead of buying mass produced minerals, colloidal, ionic etc. You must saturate the water though.

Thank you Jon.

My salt crystal is about 2 inch x 1 inch x 1 inch (allowing for a natural shape of course). What would you do in this circumstance? Place the whole salt crstal in the water? Or break pieces off?

Trinity, I would put the whole piece in a small sealable jar and cover with water. If you can get more salt that great. I use a 2 litre jar and just keep adding salt and water.
