Make Friends, Party with conscious people. Come and meet us and lots of other "Green" Utopians on the 2nd Tuesday of every month!
What the hecks "Green Drinks" I hear you ask. Well....
Every month people who work in the environmental field meet up for a beer at informal sessions known as Green Drinks. There's a lively mixture of people from NGOs, academia, government and ethical business (and obviously lots of Utopians).
Come along and you'll be made welcome. Just say, "are you green?" it's a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Everyone invites someone else along, so there’s always a different crowd, making Green Drinks an truly organic, self-organising network.
Some Benefits: Hmmm, It's a Sam Smiths pub, so has a range of draught and bottled beers, all keenly priced. Many are organic. It has food, something we've missed for a while (snacks and a range of around 20 meals, many organically sourced, for veggies and carnivores). It has fair trade tea, coffee, chocolate, and will soon have fair trade juices. Plus hot Swedish Barmaids - fantastic.
We have the downstairs to ourselves with plenty of room so be sure to bring some friends!
These events are very simple and unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments of serendipity. There's no agenda or other formality - just come and join us in chatting, debating and generally connecting.
Green Drinks are always the second Tues of the month, so make a note in the diary for future months
It's a force for the good and a good excuse to meet lots of other Utopians!
