ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage - Unit 2
A theory and practice course in holistic massage.
This course is a unit towards gaining an ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage.
To gain the full ITEC Diploma, in addition, students will also be required to complete two further units:
Either:
ITEC Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology or
ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Body Treatments (or equivalent)
And:
ITEC Professional Conduct and Business Awareness
Holistic Massage takes place over a series of 4 Modules (7 days) as follows:
Module 1
Day 1 - Introduction to The Whole Body - Effleurage
Day 2 - The Back
Module 2
Day 3 - The Legs and Arms
Day 4 - The Abdomen, Shoulders Neck and Face
Module 3
Day 5 - The Whole Body - Revision
Day 6 - Assessment: The Whole Body & Consultation, Mock Theory Exam
Module 4
Day 7 - Mock Practical Exam
The course is assessed by:
Attendance of the course - 50 hours contact teaching
1. Completed assignments
2. Theoretical examination - 1 hour duration
3. Practical examination, including 45 minute full body massage
4. Tutorials with the lecturer
