My Philosophy On Life: I have long considered my main “purpose” in life is to play and enjoy the many fruits this dimension offers – and – to learn and grow to fulfill my greater potential as a human. In that pursuit I have found the playing field, Earth, to be endangered. Largely, the human race is asleep at the wheel and swiftly headed on a dangerous course. Like many others, it has become my highest priority to assist in turning things around to bring about a better, more sustainable, friendlier world and future for our children.
Our world is now in a period called “The Great Turning” – a stage of great transformation and awakening. Such a huge event will take the concerted efforts of millions upon millions of people, each doing their particular part. My part is to assist in the awakening of the consciousness, as it is from that place of awakened living that all true and lasting solutions are found.
When a person lives from the foundational awareness of the oneness of existence, they treat others with respect, as equals, with honesty and generosity. There can be no place for lying, cheating, greed, deception, violence, corruption, forcing one’s will on others, taking advantage of others, exploiting people or natural resources for personal gain, etc. All the suffering and problems our world faces arises from consciousness believing it is separate from the One.
As the world so quickly grows in population and technology those factors cannot continue as they will destroy everything. It is, in fact, happening at an alarming rate. What is needed to turn things around is enough people truly living from an awake place of being – coming from the place of Oneness.
I am committed to bringing forth an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just human presence on Earth. I will be speaking about these three subjects (actually all the same issue) in this blog.
Recently there was a huge breakthrough in getting the message out to the world through Oprah Winfrey’s 10 week Webcast Series with Eckhart Tolle – conversations on his most recent book A New Earth (most highly recommended reading). This book is an excellent articulation of this important conversation and will be much discussed in this blog. You can download these videos free here!
My artwork generally expresses this theme of spiritual awakening to the true nature of consciousness. Hopefully the imagery is enjoyed and inspires people. I have always hoped that I will be able to use my artistic talent to direct people’s attention to this conversation and assist in our collective awakening. Now is the time!
