"Stories from the Table"
Tutor: Julie-Anne Netti Fee: £86.50
This one day workshop is open to any body work therapy student or qualified therapist.
In the Western system of health, focus is often on the symptoms and cure, ignoring the various elements of how a condition evolved including the effect of emotions on the physical body. Our past is locked in our cells, (in tissue, organs, blood, muscles and bones) and held there. Healing energy and touch produced by therapeutic bodywork triggers off and releases these stored memories. Once recessed they can come to the surface in various forms such as physical aliments and as we go deeper into the tissue and issues a "story" begins to unfold.
The intention of this workshop is to understand the body's way to store memories and how bodywork unblocks emotions with connective energy flow. Participants will learn their role in the connective energy flow and how to improve communication with their client during and after treatments and develop skills to enhance the clients healing process.
The workshop will cover the following:
- Introduction to the Bodymind connection on a cellular level
- understanding the structural components between the body (physical conditions), mind and emotions
- Communication skills for the therapist to assist the client
- The methods for therapists to use to clear themselves from the table
Prerequisite: Participants will be asked to email a brief "story" of their experience regarding Bodywork, clients' memories, conditions, on their table, prior to the workshop
