Certificate of Qualification, Post-graduate Training Credits - for Bodywork Therapists or Beauty Therapists
The Japanese believe that beauty is more than skin deep and that, in order to be beautiful, one must also be healthy. This face massage works on both aspects simultaneously:
* working superficially, we can improve skin-tone and lymph-flow.
* working at the deeper muscular level, we can affect muscle-tone and general appearance
* working with the facial meridians, we can affect the balance of health in the whole body - as well as the specific flow of Ki in the face.
Topics include: The course is mainly practical, but also addresses basic theories, e.g: * What is a meridian? * What is a tsubo? * Theory of Japanese face-massage * Three stages: Anma, Acupressure, Lymphatic Drainage * Meridians running through the face – direction of flow and point location.
There are short written and practical assessments on the day. Students must then complete 5 practice sessions within 6 weeks before being issued with a Certificate of Qualification.
Dates
10 September 2008.
