The word Reiki (pronounced 'Ray-Kee') is defined as Universal (or Spiritual (Rei) Life Force Energy (Ki).
This course is to learn the Traditional Usui Reiki (also called Usui Shiki Ryoho). This is an incredibly powerful healing system with the added bonus that it is amazingly simple and is something that anyone can learn.
This is for a complete course including all necessary attunements in Traditional Usui Reiki that will guide you from novice up to the level of Reiki Master/Teacher. You will receive an in depth manual for each attunement (two manuals for Master/Teacher Level) giving you all the information you need. This course is designed to be studied at home and includes the necessary attunements. This we will schedule together for each degree so that you can experience the effects fully at a time and place that is comfortable and convenient. Each attunement usually takes about 30 minutes.
Reiki Teachings and Attunements
(Levels 1, 2 and Master)

Level One Reiki is the starting point for your Reiki training. This stage is ideal for self-help for many different problems, or just for relaxation & wellbeing. You will also know enough and learn sufficiently to be able to safely provide treatments informally to family and friends. This is a great way of honing and practicing your skills.
Level Two is usually what is referred to as the practitioner level and upon attunement and course segment completion you can give treatments professionally and charge a fee for your time and expenses should you wish to.
Level Three is traditionally referred to as the Master level. Here you will complete your initial study and become an expert is this healing art. You can also pass the Reiki training onto other people and give them the same attunements that you have received.
However you want to use Reiki is entirely up to you.
Reiki is a wonderful addition if you already practice a complementary therapy, like Reflexology, Aromatherapy or Massage. You will find Reiki adds a new dimension to your treatments or indeed can be offered as a new service independently.
Reiki really is for everyone though and not just professional therapists. Anyone can benefit from learning to do Reiki to help themselves and family and friends.
It is recommended that you allow at least a week or two (traditionally 21 days) after receiving Level One before you receive Level Two, and at least a month or so after that before receiving Level Three. This allows you some time to practice at each Level and become accustomed to the changes in energy that happen at each Level. Many teachers insist on even longer period between attunements. As a Reiki Master I will work with YOUR energies and work with you at a pace that you indicate is right for you.
Reiki is a process, you are not required to follow anyone particular philosophy. It is a truly holistic method of offering healing and is excellent in todays modern world. Not ony as a fantastic and highly effective healing art but also as an energy source that you can channel and control to aid with stress relief and adding calm and greater relaxation to our lives.
Many people receive Reiki training and Attunements by paying to attend a workshop in their local area, and they are “attuned” to the Reiki energy by the Reiki Master. It is possible to receive the Attunements over a distance in the same way that Reiki healing energy can be sent to someone over a distance without the Reiki Master needing to be physically present.
Reiki is after all energy and this is not bound by time and space limitations.
Reiki attuements over a distance have been poven to be as effective as hands on attunements. As long as the master and the student are prepared the experience is the same.

We believe that our combination of comprehensive Reiki Manuals, practical guidance, full colour images, distant attunements and our ongoing support by e-mail as well as video and audio content to support everyones learning style makes this easily as effective as attending a Reiki training course in person but at a substantially reduced cost!!

Reiki is not just about learning it is about experiencing Reiki and unlike some distance courses you are requied to not only participate actively in developing your skills, you will also need to demonstrate this ability. Before receiving your Master Level attunement, you will be required to submit a 'case study' - this may be about yourself or someone else you have treated and how you have used Reiki following your first two attunements. You will, after having studied the previous two degree's be easily able to complete this. We require this demonstration of competence to ensure that when you are training others you truly have a full and comprehenve understanding of Reiki.
