These take place over one full Saturday usually once per month. The Reiki day consists of personal introductions, study of the principles relating to the Reiki stage, attunement into the Reiki energy, and practise of the necessary techniques of Reiki Healing. Included in the day are personal meditation techniques used by Usui to improve performance of Reiki. Everybody attuned on the day receives a certificate and a booklet containing the information relevant to the Reiki stage.
I limit the number of students to no more than four on any given attunement day to ensure you get the training and attention you need.
I am also available for mobile attunements if you request me to come to you.
These attunement days are designed for people leading busy and committed lives. Traditionally Reiki was taught using an apprentice system over many years. Nowadays people struggle to free up even one weekend.
Reiki is one of the ways in which spirit is trying to stay in touch with people in an otherwise materialistic society. By offering a one day training day I hope to make Reiki attunements available to people who don’t want or can’t manage a longer training period. The attunements are also suitable to people who have already undergone training in the spiritual field and simply want the Reiki attunement and training in the classical techniques.
It is very important to my approach that I don’t mix Reiki with other spiritual beliefs or ideas. The style of Reiki taught is traditional based on the lineage coming from Hawayo Takata. The only exception to this rule are the techniques now made available from Usui's notebook. Because these techniques correlate to classical meditation techniques I have already practised in Yoga it is authentic for me to train people in these methods.
Everything in life that is really important is also intellectually simple. What really matters is not how wonderfully new the idea, but how effectively it is put into practise. My Reiki days offer people the opportunity to study in an uncomplicated way the traditional Reiki technique as it was handed down through Hawayo Takata without feeling pressured to take on board other belief systems that may not be relevant.
