I'm not sure if this shop is still open or closed down as their website does not exist anymore! But anyways I will still continue to review as I think it is important for customers to know....
I have visted this tiny shop a few times as it is literally next door to the college that I used to go to. One thing that I noticed is that every item in that store is overpriced and not really valuable for money as you can probably buy the same items elsewhere at a much reasonable price. There wasn't a good range of spiritual books either they seemed old and dated.
The owners of the shop are called ellie and paul and seemed abit creepy as it seemed that paul can read your mind!..He will also keep on suggesting things for you to buy which is annoying when you may want to just browse around without feeling pressured to buy (seriously I have noticed this on every visted occasion). I wish shop owners would have more regard for their customers and learn some people skills!
Also their therapies are expensive and they will not let you just book a session on the phone as they ask you to come in first to leave a deposit..thats just time consuming making two journeys to the store. Talk about trying to scam money out of you in any possible way as it is designed not to give any refunds in case you cancel the appointment.
I remember having a chakra balancing session some years ago. It was £40 which I thought was expensive at the time and I ended up making three journeys to the store which was just ridiculous. The first visit was to drop off a deposit for the appointment, the second was for the session it itself and the third was collecting a write up about the session which couldn't be emailed to me as the woman who did the therapy did not use computers! I mean c'mon they are not professional at all!
If this store is still open please do not bother to waste your time and money as it is seems like a proper money scamming little store. Maybe the owners of the store would benefit in enrolling on a business course to know how to run a business...well its just a suggestion.
Overall I wouldn't rate this store at all for the reasons stated. Instead if your looking for a new age store I would recommend the mystic moon (off mansfield road) as the people who run the store seem alot more genuine, helpful and not creepy!
