My name is Hanah Al-Samaraie and I am a qualified practical homeopath. I have been studying homeopathy at a full-time college in London.

Being a scientist and coming from a medical family I was highly curious of how homeopathy worked. After all homeopathy is a form of science and was developed by a German medical doctor. Practical homeopathy, the form I practice, is a modern and dynamic approach to Hahnemann's wisdom. It uses various methods to suit 21st century life styles adapting to every individual making it highly effective.
I wanted to help people as my parents and my sister do but using a much gentler and more holistic approach of medicine. Homeopathy offers all this. My life has changed a great deal since I started my course of homeopathy.

My consultations can be held in German or English.

Qualifications

I qualified in 2005 from the College of Practical Homeopathy in North Finchley, London.Part of my homeopathy education was a fortnightly student clinic in North London for the whole duration of the 2 year course. There I was able to see my own patients and sit in with fellow students. Thereafter the cases were presented in class where I contributed to discussions and gave advice. This was a valuable learning experience developing great counselling skills and learning about a wide spectrum of cases. In this group setting I always had to justify my treatment decisions, which further integrated both my practical and theoretical knowledge.
In addition to the clinic I set up a monthly low-cost practice in 2004 where I saw patients of my own.
I also have been giving email consultations for my patients in Germany and acute advice over the counter at Neal’s Yard Remedies. Working at NYR not only allows me to elaborate on acute prescribing but also extended my knowledge of herbs and other remedies that I integrate in my treatment.
I have been treating several different conditions ranging from eczema, hay fever, allergies to various digestive disorders, arthritis, female complaints, hormonal imbalances etc. A third of my patients were small children.

I am a member of Embody, a registering body for complementary therapies.

Additional Information

I practice from Neal's Yard Remedies twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, i.e. from 1.45pm-5.45pm
