Sometimes our collective name, Holy Names Mission, provokes a little uneasiness amongst those whose experiences with organized religion have not been so great.

We've gone by this name for these 18 years because it best describes our reverence for Creation and our transcendental realization of one God who has many names and forms. Each of us came from different spiritual backgrounds, with interests in various cultures, when we started - and each of us is still growing. What we have in common is that our love of God/Goddess and for every bit of divine Creation so overwhelms our lives that we feel we have a mission to use our gifts in sharing divine love. Making Peace, a piece at a time.

The mission is really about healing and empowerment, whether through correspondence or art, personal assistance or music, devotional literature or hands-on healing. We nurture an awareness that everyone's still evolving into their own realizations of Divinity - life is good, death is worth thinking about, and everything can always be made better.

So that's the deal about our name - HNM - we love you...
