BE YOUR VISION!

Monday, November 10th, 2008 6:32 PM

It is time for all of us as citizens of the world to hold, uphold, and work toward a vision of peace, prosperity, compassion, love, and wisdom for all. Not one person should go hungry in a world of abundance. Not one person should suffer or die because of inadequate health care in a world where medical advancements abound. Not one person should suffer in isolation or fear in a world of countless human beings.

It is time we recognize that our Oneness is not just in a spiritual sense - not just a Oneness with God - but with all of humanity - with the very earth we walk upon – with every blade of grass, every star, every stone left unturned, every starving child, every laughing child, every sound a small kitten makes, everything we are - it is all God - and only through our recognition of this can we know freedom.

The recent political changes in the U.S.A. symbolize the change that is prevalent upon the face of Mother Earth. An eloquent speaker and gifted human being has become the leader of a nation whose power touches the core of every     country. We now have the possibility to live from the courage of our hearts - not the greed and desire of the ego that only wants more of everything - more money, more oil, more power, more war, more and more.

Each of us now has the possibility to BE THE VISION! The highest vision is one of peace - abundance - freedom - compassion - love - wisdom - for all  beings. It is BEING what we want to be - not simply working toward a vision, waiting to be happy when and if we achieve it. It is living a life of service toward our own self, others, and earth.

A true Vision requires not only a clear idea of what that vision is, but also the willingness to take the steps and do the work necessary to achieve that vision. A true Vision requires letting go of what we cannot control, doing what we can, and leaving the results in the hands of a Higher Power.

Be the Vision! Means living here, now, in the present moment, alive, awake, and aware - enthusiastically doing what is ours to do as we move with faith toward our vision - willing to change direction when so guided. This means being connected with intuition. Intuition is not different from divine guidance. I call divine guidance by many names - God, Higher Power, Divine Mother, Angels. The name we use is not so important. What is important is that we live vitally in the here and now, with a sense of purpose, connected to love, peace, and compassion for all beings.

I am honored and happy to offer the Be the Vision! Course beginning in January 2009. This course will guide you simultaneously toward your personal vision and toward a greater vision. I hope you will join me as I share the guidance, love, and wisdom that have been given so abundantly to me over the years of my spiritual growth. I am confident that the Be Your Vision! Course will serve to uplift each person who participates, as well as all of humanity - because we are all One - and what we do affects the entire world. This is simple quantum physics.

I trust that your participation in the Be the Vision! Course will increase your self-confidence and help you believe in yourself and whatever service you are inspired to offer the earth - and to perform that service with enthusiasm and joy, as I do my own. Anything worth doing is worth doing with total enthusiasm, joy, and confidence!

Believe in yourself! Be Your Vision!

The Be the Vision! Course will become available via e-mail in January 2009. Please stay tuned for details!

did you see?

Monday, November 10th, 2008 6:15 PM

did you see the moon last night?
were you looking up as I was looking up?
did you see the glow surrounding it
with soft moonbow colors?
did your heart beat fast with beauty?
were your eyes enraptured?
did the wild wind blow
against your upturned face
telling you of other lands
with hot sun burning
on deserts dry with sand
and jungles wet with rain?
did your blood race with wonder?
did you breathe the moon
into your very soul?
did you fall down laughing
on the cold wet grass?
did your spirit flee your body?
did you race with wolves
and howl with coyotes?
did you?
did you?
did you?
were your eyes one with mine
naked against the moon?
were we one in passion?
were we one in lust?
were we one in hunger?
were we one in fulfillment?
did you hear me scream in silent ecstasy
as the moon raced through eternity
through endless sky
from eye to eye to eye to eye?
did you weep with pleasure?
did you pray with gratitude?
did you fall to your knees?
did you? did you? did you?
tell me, did you?

homeless in Los Angeles

Monday, November 10th, 2008 4:48 PM

homeless in Los Angeles

the sooty white kitten
has a gentle personality
she does not make tiny hisses
when I touch her
she sleeps in a cardboard box
on a pink velvet blanket
on my back porch
sometimes her mother sleeps with her
does that mean they are no longer homeless?

I think of the people sleeping
on benches along the sidewalks
here in Los Angeles,
covered with newspaper
or along the streets
covered with cardboard
does that mean they are no longer homeless?

I bring organic cream and dry kibbles
to the kitten and her mama
the mama makes lion sounds as she eats
is she crying out her hunger?
Is she crying out a warning or
gratitude?
I stay and watch, to make sure the baby
gets a chance to eat too.

I donate warm socks for the cold feet
of the homeless
I work at the soup kitchen
I vote for Obama
hoping against hope
that change will happen
for those most destitute.

Hoping against hope
what does that phrase really mean?
I look it up on the internet
and find meanings that
don't really change anything,
at least not the meaning
of this poem.

This morning the sun is out
This morning I can feed
one sooty kitten
who huddles on the pink velvet blanket
on my back porch
gentle, patient, soft
she hasn't learned to make lion sounds
when she eats
perhaps she never will.

what is important to you?

Sunday, April 20th, 2008 5:14 PM

What is important to you? Perhaps now is a good (god) time to pause and reflect upon this question. Relax. Breathe deep into your heart. Look within your heart to find what is most important to you.

Now ask yourself: do I spend my energy focused on what is important to me?

Without even realizing it, we often focus our energy upon fear, lack, loss, and limitation.

The best way to achieve our visions is by keeping our focus one-pointed like an arrow on our target. Can an archer hit a target if his attention wavers? We must become so one-pointed on our target that we become one with it. No separation. This is being our vision! This is joy in the moment!

Visions are lovely goals to work towards.....but the point of living is....well....living....here and now....in the present moment....not waiting until you get "there"to be fulfilled. Be your vision in the here and now. This makes life a lot more fun. Then you not waiting to be fulfilled in some imaginary future....you are living in the fullness of life.

You just are as you are

Friday, February 22nd, 2008 2:12 AM

As the spider spins webs so does the mind spin stories. Unlike the spider the mind does not know when to stop spinning. The mind is almost never so still as a spider in the center of her web. The story the spider spins has a purpose: it is a thing of beauty, her home, and her grocery store. The stories the mind spins often serve no purpose, being neither beautiful nor useful. We often have relationships, not with each other, but with our stories about each other. Then we expect other people to fulfill our stories. But other people are not here to fulfill our stories. They are here to fulfill their own stories.

People just are as they are. You just are as you are. The recognition of this could save you much suffering. It could allow you to come into harmony with the relationships in your life. It could allow you to see with your heart.

Death

In 1981 I survived a near-death experience that transformed my way of thinking and my life. I encountered the Light of absolute love, compassion, and wisdom. I chose to go to the Light, but was sent back to my life on earth. Angels and beings of light intervened to protect and guide me, not only while I was out of my body, but also after I returned to it.

If you fear death, or have lost someone to a violent or painful death, perhaps you will find solace in my experience that we do not make our passage into the next world alone. Angels and beings of light arrive in the moment of need. They give comfort and guidance. Our life force continues; hence there is no real death. There is only change. Furthermore, once the life force departs the body, there is no pain, even if the process of dying was painful. Physical pain belongs to the physical body and not to the spiritual body. When we depart the physical body, we still have a body but it is a spiritual body that is light and free, unconstrained by the limits of physical existence. We “die” here but we take birth in a new body and begin a new journey. What that precise journey is for each soul, I cannot say; however I am certain there is nothing to fear and that our true essence is eternal.
