Kinesiology & Reiki Healing

By Tabitha Gale

Kinesiology is a unique therapy that it uses feedback from gentle muscle monitoring; working with the body’s wisdom towards achieving optimum wellbeing

Touch for Health Kinesiology works with all aspects of a person to promote physical, emotional and energetic/spiritual wellbeing. Feedback from muscle monitoring is used to identify energy imbalances, blockages or stresses in the body, and to detect the corrections necessary to restore balance.

Corrections may include; massage points, acupressure holding points, working on the muscles themselves or the energy pathways (meridians), reiki healing, or food testing and healthy eating advice, depending on the individual feedback received from the clients body during the session.

This type of kinesiology is particularly helpful in helping with emotional/energetic issues and supporting change and direction in life, as well as the physical stuff! It allows you to take part in your own health and healing process, gaining self awareness and empowerment. It is also great for maintaining and improving good health.

What are the benefits?

Kinesiology may be able to help

• Enhance brain function/co-ordination/improve ease of learning

• Assist in self development, direction in life and support change

Reiki is one of the oldest systems of natural healing and evolved in Japan through the experience and dedication of Dr Mikao Usui (d. 1926).

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy or Universal Life Force, and is a gentle form of hands on healing. The therapist acts as a neutral channel for reiki energy to pass through to the client.

Reiki energy goes to where it is needed and works by supporting your body’s natural healing process. It acts on all levels of an individual and can therefore help physically, mentally, emotionally or energetically. It is a gentle, non-invasive therapy, which means that even painful or immobile parts of the body can be treated.

Reiki is a complementary therapy that works well alongside conventional medicine as well as other therapies. It accepts any religious beliefs you may or may not have, and is not religious itself.

What are the benefits?

Reiki may be able to help:

• Promote relaxation/ peace of mind
• Release and manage physical, emotional and mental stress
• Stress related problems such as headaches, migraine and IBS
• Improve posture and decrease tension, discomfort or pain
• Manage depression and anxiety
• Increase confidence and self esteem
• Improve sleep
• Assist in self development, direction in life and supporting change
