Heal Trauma and Stress with Yogic Touch Therapy

By Brigette Hass

I find the human being – often the more unconscious parts of us - to be an extraordinarily intelligent system. With my experience, that does not need to be manipulated to restore it to health and well being. However let me quickly ad, it may need some loving support to get there. I have found that when respectful, supporting the natural process of the body - which endeavours to heal itself – with patience and insight and listening - awareness skills, and s p a c e to return to health it truly heals the root of the trauma.

So many times have I witnessed, when the whole being is liberated from just one trauma incident how the whole person is lifted and feels free. This could be from rapid changes in your life like pregnancy or other changing circumstances, or an accident - bereavement - abuse trauma or some other shock to your system: operations – IVF – menopause. The trauma will not only cause blockages and strain in the physical body. It also manifests and is held in the energy field - in the body structure - in the cells and in your thought patterns. Trauma is also registered in the Nervous System, which will raise your sensitivity - nervousness - and alertness, and may become a cause for concern. With every new incident this may 'tweak' your Nervous System more quickly and eventually this may even become a nervous condition of some sort. It may now be the symptom that is prevalent.

Of course with time and living it may slowly wear off, especially if given conscious awareness that you will need more rest, time off, lots of sleep etc. But often as you get more 'nervy' and you are more and more in an adrenaline spiral - it might become more difficult to SWITCH OFF - to sleep with ease and so will continue the ripples of tension and other symptoms in your body mind or spirit.

Now we come to the treatment: The treatment is specific to you. The Yogic Touch practitioner is specifically trained – to be alert and aware to pick up layers of blockages and stress. Most other treatments literally go 'through' these layers of trauma memory. This may leave you better for a little while, but your symptoms will come back as its like grass when stepped on, it straightens out after a while - the root of the trauma must be removed so your body - mind – and spirit and of course your Nervous System can come to rest and to a normal resting state.

How it works: Yogic Touch practitioners are trained to tune into and listen to how your being can best unwind. Working with the body intelligence and the defences – blockages – supporting you where you are right now. Through this method a deep sense of safety develops and so the Nervous System begins to let go. In turn this helps the cells in the body to physically let go of the held trauma memory. This starts with the energy body and continues on the physical and mental levels. You will feel deeply relaxed and alert after a session. You may feel the layers of stress that have released – so feel light and free more focussed and at ease. Usually aches and pains are less or have disappeared. Clients report a deep sense of calm and clarity.
