Sacred Arts Camp

There will be Dances of Universal Peace and circle dance to live music, Bhajan chanting, harmony & Taizé singing, voice workshops, Sufi, yoga and other spiritual practices, sweat lodge, clay work, braiding, painting, woodcraft, parachute games, water play, nightly story time, women's circles, men's and other sharing groups, sacred foot ball - and the experience of co-operative living on the land.
Camp life: camp fires, café, hot showers, sauna, a well-being area - and many creative activities for children, teenagers and adults.
Another focus at this camp are the rite of passage workshops for boys and girls. For the girls there is a tribal Menarche Ceremony- all week preparations are under way to celebrate the young women of the camp. The whole camp is invited to take part, the women's and men's groups support one another with the organisation of this tribal ceremony- it is a truly inspirational, transformational healing event for all involved! for 3 years Wise Women's Workshops have been invited to run workshops for the mothers and daughters who are involved in the main part of the ceremony.
The boys work is more low key, time spent with men, wood work, talking, feasting.
The camp is a wonderful space to relax, dance, make friends and be part of the international peace dance community.
