What Kind of Candles Do You Burn In Your Home?

By Theresa Phillabaum

Studies have shown that paraffin wax candles burning in the home are literally polluting the home,  the ventilation systems,  on the walls,  carpeting,  on the applicances,  not to mention our lungs.

Paraffin wax supports the oil industry and is a non-renewable resource.  This product is derived from left over sludge from refining petroleum and emits harmful vapors and toxic carcinogens.  When burning paraffin,  it emits a black soot which then penetrates your ventilation system.  Have you ever noticed the black on walls,  draperies and even your appliances.  If you burn paraffin,  that's the lingering effects of your candle burning.

Paraffin candles are the number one source of indoor pollution!!

An alternative has been found and it's right in our own back yards.  The American soy farmer is growing the soy for the soy candle.  This wax is derived from natural, wholesome vegetables.   It is 100% non-toxic and safe for your family.  The soy wax emits little or no soot and it burns completely and 25-40% longer than the paraffin wax.  With these soy candles you can be sure that your home is environmentally safe and  soy is also biodegradable.

Another advantage of the soy candle,  is that if you have an accident and spill the wax,  it can be cleaned up with hot soap and water

Soy wax candles are the "healthy" way to illuminate your life!!

So after serious consideration;  which candle would you now be willing to burn in your home?
