Is It Time To Move?
By Sepia Baker
I have a few houseplants that I have grown to adore. I am not a green thumb as they say in the gardening world. One of my favorite plants was located in my meditation room and due to the cold weather it sort of dried up and looked pretty lifeless. My son suggested that I move it to a new location inside the living room where it was much warmer. I moved the plant and after several weeks it still looked dried up and pretty lifeless. Of course I enjoy talking to the plants ( they say it works ) and decided to ask the plant what it wanted. I'd love to tell you it spoke but instead, Necole Hubbard ( a very special young lady ) suggested that I move it to the window area.
I moved the plant closer to the window where the sun beamed on it, watered it daily with fresh water and daily doses of positive talking. After a few days I noticed little green leaves trying to poke their heads out! Of course a few weeks later and I had a beautiful houseplant that looked almost the way it appeared when I purchased it.
The time comes when we need to " just move on " to a new perspective. Is it time for you to move? Do you feel dried up and lifeless at times. Is there a pattern of issues that keep coming up? Listen to you life and make a few adjustments. Maybe it's the job, the house, the city, the old clothes, etc. Whatever is calling to you to move on, check it out. Of course releasing old habits is not exactly easy, but can be when you release a step at a time.
Write down what you NEED to release and approach the list starting with the simple things first. Allow yourself to move to a new understanding of where you are in life and let go of the fear. There are times when life will pick you up and move you when it is time to go. Believe me, getting fired, divorced or even the flu can be turned in to a Blessing if you accept and release. There is something greater waiting for you and has your name on it. Don't spend another minute whining or complaining about your circumstances. You created them! Now is the time to create the intentional circumstance.
Create a life map that will lead you to your desired destination. What do you want? Explore your desires and goals in several areas of your life. Cut out images and words from magazines and glue to a poster board and hang it where you can see it often. Affirm to yourself what you Do want and actually feel as if you already have it. It's a fun practice and only you know you're doing it. Trust me, this is the stuff dreams are made of and worlds are created.
You are a beautiful Light, worthy to shine and spread your light wide and bright. The time is now, the moment is here. Take the first step and accept where you are now, let go and move!
