What IS The Secret?

According to the latest spiritual docu-drama taking the world by gentle storm, this secret is the law of attraction. Produced by Rhonda Byrne, ‘The Secret’ brings together the wisdom of the ages speaking the language of philosophy, psychology, spirituality & quantum physics. It reveals techniques used by Plato, Shakespeare, Newton, Beethoven, Einstein, Lincoln…..
‘The Secret’ proposes that every thought we think works like a magnet, drawing to us & manifesting what we think about the most. For many this may be nothing new…. however we all occasionally need reminding that we are not victims & that the most powerful tool at our disposal is the mind.
Thoughts have a frequency that can be measured scientifically. When you think about something a lot, you attract more of the same (like attracts like). Your thoughts are like magnets. The Universe doesn’t know whether you are thinking about something because you DON’T want it (Eg. Worrying about illness) all it knows is that you are sending out thoughts & strong emotion about illness, the perfect creative cocktail.
Fortunately there is a time delay in the manifestation process so we have time to get it right.
Habitual thoughts & beliefs have a powerful effect on your energy fields. When a change occurs in your energy fields it goes on to affect you emotionally & physically as well as sending out a frequency creating change in your life. It is all connected.
As within, so without…as above, so below.
So when starting to work consciously with new positive & empowering thoughts it is important to find support to help with the de-tox which occurs on a mind/body/spirit(energy) level, counselling, bodywork & healing for example.
Whether inherited from parents/teachers, adopted to conform with or rebel against society’s expectations or taken on in response to a painful experience, thoughts can be changed. You can choose a new thought habit right now, no matter how bad things are. That thought, the one you are having right now is the only thing you really have any control of & it is your most powerful tool.
If you want to get out of debt think about abundance rather than debt. If you want to get well think about health rather than the illness. Positive thoughts & happy feelings have a more powerful frequency than negative ones.
Eg: “I am so happy & grateful for my abundant health/financial prosperity.”
Repeat the new thought over & over every day, like learning a new language it takes practice. Do not even mention illness or debt.
If you have trouble even starting this process you may need to begin with practising the thought: ”I am so happy & grateful to be successfully practising new thoughts.”
