Do Ron, Ron, Ron. Do, Ron Ron

By Carl Munson

It was my pleasure to be in London last weekend to hear the message of Ron Williams, an inspiring man with an inspiring vision for health and wellbeing. Ron took the trouble to fit a UK visit into his honeymoon schedule, between a marriage ceremony in Utah and a waiting – and very understanding - wife in Cancun.

Is he mad? No. Well, maybe to some.

You see Ron has a heretical view on health. To him it’s as simple as getting the basics right such as air, water, sunshine, exercise, good whole food, happy relationships and passion. If we can get these right, chances are we are going to create the right conditions to honour the body’s innate intelligence, thereby allowing good health to arise.

Sounds good. For me, he’s spot on.

Ron’s company ForeverGreen produce the marine phytoplankton-based food supplement that I mentioned here over a year ago. It seems this gem of a nutritional discovery is sweeping the globe, supporting health and healing in its wake – offering a sound food-based alternative to drugs for many delighted consumers.

This and other revolutionary products are the result of Ron coming out of early retirement, having already attained financial freedom (he must be all of forty!). Bored of just sitting round being rich, Ron saw the potential of a business positioned beyond simple health and financial transformation. He also believed in the power of personal transformation by focusing on the betterment of humanity.

Now this could be hype and clever marketing, but ForeverGreen seem to be ‘walking the talk’. In partnership with over 63 local schools, this great little company has gone on to successfully share a message of healthy eating at every level from Kindergarten to sixth form.

Their "Power Lunch" campaign reminds kids to make healthy choices by choosing fruit and vegetables and through music and visuals, an educational programme explains the benefits of various foods to different areas of the body. ForeverGreen is believed to be the first company of its kind to offer this type of partnership.

“ForeverGreen is a way of being, making a difference one person at a time,” explained Ron to an eager audience not far from Buckingham Palace, “Embracing health is an act of kindness. Without your health, it is impossible to fulfil and sustain your life dreams. Health, be it physical, spiritual, or financial, is truly the threshold to creating your dreams.”

“We make health pleasurable and measurable through unique products that enable one to embrace health in such a way to ‘live’ a life; not merely survive one,” says Ron who has also written and produced a movie, Happy Valley, which brings to light the problem of addiction to prescription drugs that he claims has reached epidemic proportions in the US.

I’m in awe of this man’s prolific output and genuine desire to make a difference to “America’s sickest generation”. I’ve brought the baton back to Devon, re-energised and re-inspired. Quite by chance, riding high on a wave of hope about what’s possible if we get un-complicated around our health, I stumbled across this nursery rhyme quoted by Wayne Fields in his book What the River Knows, which I’ll leave you with:

The best six doctors anywhere
And no one can deny it
Are sunshine, water, rest, and air
Exercise and diet.
These six will gladly you attend
If only you are willing
Your mind they'll ease
Your will they'll mend
And charge you not a shilling.
