Our own perception of the world and those we're personally involved with stems from our childhood. If you grew up with one or more parent(s) who displayed constant anxiety, worry, anger, etc., then you have most likely adopted that same behavior as an adult. Some people eventually recognize this in themselves and some never do. And even when the ones that do recognize this in themselves they tend to just accept that behavior as "who they are". They might try, through various methods, to rid themselves of this unwanted negative behavior only to wind up frustrated when something triggers a certain emotion and they find it hasn't really left. So they give up and just accept that this is who they are and that change is impossible. Maybe they are still hearing the message that has been given to them over a life-time, "oh, thats just they way you've always been, that's your personality and you'll never change". They then decide that they are comfortable this way and fear any kind of change, even if it would mean a positive change. They fear that if they were to make these changes that they might become someone that wouldn't be accepted or loved, or that they wouldn't know how to act any other way. So they accept where they are at in their life, even if it is not truly satisfactory, simply because it seems impossible or too hard to make these changes. Of course, this is all due to one's own perception. When you change your perception you start to see amazing transformations in yourself and your life. Opportunities arise that were not there before. You begin to feel more confident and a sense of deep satisfaction and joy than ever before. When your perception changes your attitude changes towards everything. When your attitude changes to a positive, your health and mental well- being changes to a positive as well. Our physical health is closely linked to our emotions. For example, if you harbor anger and resentment and never release it, those negative emotions create a block in your body's energy system which in turn manifests itself as physical pain. Sometimes these blocked emotions can accelerate disease and cancer, whether hereditary or not. Research has shown that in cancer patients that use consistent daily meditation techniques, greatly improved their condition and in some cases even reversed the disease. Scientists say they have found that one of the body's "good mood chemicals" forces some cancer cells to commit suicide. (www.healingcancernaturally.com). Your belief system is what is known as "the writings on your wall". When certain negative emotions are triggered your subconscious mind immediately refers to the "writings on your wall" to know how to react. If you, in childhood, were constantly exposed to negativity or non-encouraging messages then as an adult those same messages remain in the subconscious until you willingly release them. When the negative emotion is triggered, you immediately consult with your "writings on the wall" and then progress into guilty, sad, angry or fearful feelings. In order to get relief from these bad feelings, one usually resorts to some form of a negative or unhealthy habit or addiction ie; overeating, smoking, nail-biting, worrying, inactivity, drugs, alcohol, etc. This habit creates, temporarily, an elated or euphoric type feeling helping you to "forget" about the bad feeling and tricks your mind into believing that you are successfully coping with your problems and have complete control over them. The real truth is, is that all you are actually doing is pushing aside and ignoring the core issue (the real reason why you are smoking, drinking, worrying, overeating, etc.). You continue to use these vices because they seem less harmful and painful than to have to confront and deal with the core issue. You might say, "well, at least I'm enjoying myself" or are you really? The truth about that is that you end up harming both your body and your mind by pushing the issue away. You can't figure out what's causing this pain or that pain so you go to doctor after doctor only to be prescribed more and more drugs and we all know that all the drugs actually do is cover up the pain or "real problem". They only mask the pain much in the same way that the negative habits or addictions cover up the core emotional issue. All the while, the main problem lay there, blocking your energy system and keeping it from flowing healthily, keeping you from feeling and being your best, living a more satisfying life. Using regular meditation/relaxation techniques can greatly improve both your physical and emotional well-being. EFT/Hypnosis is one of those techniques that actually offers a painless way of confronting those bothersome issues stemming from your past. And when done persistently and consistently you'll start to notice postive changes happening. More than likely, others will notice these obvious changes before you. Challenge yourself to change, take that step and start creating that inner peace. The choice is always up to You! Would you rather "stay safe" in that "comfort zone" and just accept less than satisfactory or would you rather take that risk of change and be rewarded with true inner peace and happiness.
