About Me

I am a father of four (and a compassionate father of millions of less fortunate children). We grow our own food for ours and to avoid taking it from the others. I do Rolfing. I do Arabic drumming as social therapy. I write a lot. I do stonemasonry for love, and more frequently than I would wish for money too. I am into low impact construction methods and low impact community development. My family has 8 hens. I am part of Grosmont community garden GROW, which aims to do just that for our food and our community. I do psychology in all its forms - particularly issues to do with the mind and complex systems (eg, why civilisation is getting into such a mess - cf Nassim Taleb, The Black Swan), and using psychology in the process of advocating change. I teach Open University (I have a masters in work and organisational psychology and phd in consciousness, not that I consider myself particularly conscious!) And I do sustainable development advocacy. www.advocatingchange.org.uk Our family is involved in Steiner education.
