About MeA Little Bit About Me... Like so many people I know, I spent a lot of my adulthood wondering what I wanted to be "when I grew up!" For years it felt like I was spinning my wheels working in a retail rut while I attempted to figure out what I was meant to do as my "real" career. Lucky for me, I am fortunate to have the support of loved ones who encouraged me to follow my dreams of finding work that was meaningful to me. I now feel blessed every day since embarking upon this fulfilling new path in my life's journey. I believe I've truly found my calling as a Certified Massage Therapist, so I'm eager to share that joy & enthusiasm for the healing arts with as many people as possible! Once I decided to pursue this goal, I enrolled at Midwest Academy of Healing Arts, a fabulous little school in Brownsburg, Indiana, with great teachers and an emphasis on small class sizes where each student receives very personalized attention. Their comprehensive 500-hour Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork course included a strong focus on Human Anatomy/ Physiology, as well as training in a diverse variety of modalities including Swedish, Pregnancy Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Points, Sports Massage, Hot Stone, Thai Yoga Massage and Reflexology. While a student there, I also received Adult CPR Certification from the American Heart Association before achieving my Massage Therapy & Bodywork Certification from MAHA in June of 2005. Since graduation, I’ve reached many new goals, including obtaining the American Massage Therapy Association's Professional status, becoming an “A” rated provider on Angie’s List, joining the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce and being voted Best Local Certified Massage Therapist in Nuvo’s 2006 Reader’s Poll. I’ve also achieved the highest level of certification in my field by qualifying as a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist & Bodyworker in August 2006. I continue to study new varieties of bodywork and spa services, and have taken additional courses in Reflexology, Body Wraps, Facials, Thai Yoga Massage and Fijian Barefoot Massage, as well as, completing training to become a Reiki Master in energy healing. After trying my hand (so to speak) working at a few local establishments, I discovered that I what I really felt compelled to do was run my own practice. So in October 2005, Daydreams Massage Therapy was born! I was lucky enough to come across a large office suite that I was quite fond of, so I recruited some other talented Certified Massage Therapists to share the ample space. Together we established the Vista Massage Therapy Group in Greenwood, Indiana. Vista's "cooperatively competitive" arrangement works well--because we have multiple CMT's on staff, we're able to accommodate individual sessions, couples massages & spa parties simultaneously within our five tranquil side-by-side suites. If you haven't done so already, you really should reserve a private appointment with me at Daydreams or schedule a Spa Day for yourself & your friends with us at Vista Massage Therapy Group soon! Well, there you have it, in a nutshell! I appreciate your interest in reading this. I look forward to meeting you at Daydreams Massage Therapy soon! ~Peace, Happiness, Namaste~Jill My BusinessI currently have a business listed within Holistic Local. To find out more about my

More About MeLocation: Greenwood, Indiana Occupation: Nationally Certified Massage Therapist & Bodyworker My Philosophy On Life: Now that I have been working full-time running my own business in this field, I've had some time to reflect on my wonderful profession & develop my own personal philosophy regarding the nature of what I do for a living:
I specialize in massage for all stages of female health development: from infancy, childhood & adolescence, into adulthood, pregnancy, menopause and beyond. I aspire to bring a sense of deep tranquility & peacefulness to each client through my massage work. I do not know of a single person who is free from stress in their daily life. Therefore, virtually everyone is a candidate for the many benefits that one of my relaxing, therapeutic massages can bring. I find it satisfying to transform a person through the healing art of massage therapy from being "tense & tired" to feeling "refreshed & renewed". I strive to create a feeling of complete well-being by providing a relaxing escape for the Mind, Body & Spirit. Ahhh...who doesn't deserve a little more serenity in their life?! If you feel that you're a candidate for the stress release and pain relief that my gentle variety of massage has to offer, I'd love to help you achieve a happier, more composed state of being.
For me, true contentment is achieved by creating a balance of happiness within my work, as well as outside of work, too. What brings me the most joy in life is to be able to share love & laughter with my wonderful husband Kurt, in addition to family and friends. In my free time, I enjoy any manner of pop culture entertainment from TV & movies, to music & concerts. I also happen to be bit of a bookworm who'll read anything and everything... fiction, non-fiction, magazines, newspapers, cereal boxes (ha ha!)...you name it, I'll read it.
